The Pre-Med, Pre-Vet, & Pre-Law Programs

Green Mountain offers these three rigorous programs to help students prepare for acceptance to medical, veterinary, or law school. Students complete a series of program requirements and work with an advisor to identify career decisions that will make them appealing applicants to the school of their choice.

Faculty stay in contact with professionals in the field to best advise students on how to get a competetive edge. Students take required courses, work internships, complete research in the field, and display a commitment to the program and the community. Students are also encouraged to get involved early - usually by the end of their sophomore year - so that by graduation they're ready to delve into the medical or legal field.

College Signs Agreement with Vermont Law School
From the GMC Journal
Week of Feb. 5, 2007

Green Mountain College has signed an articulation agreement with Vermont Law School, which specializes in environmental law, guaranteeing a spot for GMC graduates who meet the school's entrance requirements. "This is a great fit for our current class of pre-law students," said Provost Bill Throop. "Many of these students chose GMC for both its environmental mission and its proximity to Vermont Law. We have several exciting collaborations with VLS and this agreement is an excellent addition." For more information and a copy of the articulation agreement, contact Prof. Sam Edwards at ext. x8386.

The college also offers programs in Pre-Vet and Pre-Dental.
