How would you describe a Green Mountain student?: Always eager for the next adventure!
What's the Best Place to Hang Out in the Area?: The natural waterslide in Danby or the Deane Nature Preserve on Mount Saint Catherine.
What's your favorite drink while working?: Mocha Joe's organic coffee, and lots of it.
Favorite Books: Ironweed, by William Kennedy; The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco; The Handmaiden's Tale, by Margaret Atwood; The Crossing, by Cormac McCarthy. I wrote my honors thesis on Edward Said, Frantz Fanon and Lord of the Rings because I am a huuuge dork.
Favorite Movies: The Usual Suspects, Memento, The Shawshank Redemption, Sin City, Ronin, The Last of the Mohicans, '80s John Cusack movies, James Bond movies.
Favorite Place: I'm not sure anyone who has been to the Swiss Alps would be able to put down any other answer.
Favorite Activity on a Saturday Afternoon: Working on my flicks, backhands, and lay-outs on the Ultimate Frisbee field.
When I'm out traveling, I'm never without: Digital camera, manual camera, disc golf discs, and Ultimate discs.
Best Part About Vermont: Vermont is made for getting lost. You can be out on your bike or in a car and turn down any country road, and you're virtually guaranteed to find something uniquely beautiful.
Best Advice for Applicants: Be honest and be open about what you to achieve at Green Mountain College. When you come to visit campus, strike up a conversation with student and professor you run into - they'll be more than happy to chat with you.
