Major:Environmental Studies Connecting with GMC: When I began my college search in my junior year of high school, I felt extremely overwhelmed with my options. When I first learned of Green Mountain College, immediately I was drawn to its environmental approach and focus. I knew that I wanted to study the environment, and when I heard about the opportunities Green Mountain had to offer, I was hooked. The students and professors here at Green Mountain are dedicated and passionate about the environment, and are determined to make a change in the world. When I heard about some of the classes available here at Green Mountain, and the ability to study in the field, right on campus, I knew that this was where I belonged. I cannot think of any other college that offers a garden design class to first year students, a class which I am enrolled in. What I love most about Green Mountain College would have to be the student and social life, there always seems to be something going on here, whether it be a public speaker, a movie, a band in the gorge, swimming in the river on campus, frisbee, or a drum circle on one of the campus greens, there is always something to do here.
