Andrew ("Drew") Hibbard '92

MBA Candidate (Green Real Estate Development), University of Wisconsin, Madison

Major: Behavioral Science

Hometown: Newtown, Conn.

Description of work: Finishing my MBA in Real Estate and Urban Economics in order to pursue a career as a green real estate developer.

How I got started: After GMC I ended up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where I was the Director of Operations for the ski resort's lodging company. While there, I was handed a lot of poorly thought-out development projects that were built with only a quick profit in mind. With the passion for the environment, and the analytical skills that I developed at Green Mountain College, I was motivated to work toward making a difference.

Most important thing I learned at GMC: Who Drew Hibbard is.

Sports/activities while at GMC: Soccer scholarship, Rugby Club founder, helped found Outing Club - President in '90, Lacrosse (first year we had a team), Student Senate, Amnesty International President, GMC Choir, GMC production of Godspell.

Advice to students: Take advantage of the faculty. Your education is in your hands, and Green Mountain can provide you with the tools you need to make a difference.
