Where Rachael lives/works now: Burlington, Vt., on the waterfront of Lake Champlain Description of work: Business Development specialist to Efficiency Vermont, a utility company that provides efficiency services to the state's 22 electric utilities and their customers, in a key accounts manager position working with industrial and commercial clients. How Rachael got started: During her senior year at Green Mountain, Rachel got her foot in the door at Efficiency Vermont with an administrative position that gave her about 30 hours per week (while balancing a full academic schedule!). She admits that not everyone can coordinate work with full-time schooling, but advises students to get whatever professional experience they can while they're still in college. She is now doing things she never imagined and loving every minute of it. Advice to students: Surround yourself with people who will support you and occasionally kick your butt. That's a sure recipe for success! |
