Meet Some Of Our International Students

Home Country: Colombia S.A.

Major: Business and Environmental Studies.

Why did you choose GMC?
I deeply believe that a school that recognizes people that make a difference is a school worthy of going.

What do you miss most about home?
My family and friends.

Describe your hometown in 5 words or less: A big city with a lot of activity.

Most interesting US experience?
I find the change in weather to be the most interesting, as we don't really have seasons in Colombia and Vermont is a beautiful place to see these changes. On an interaction level, I would say my most interesting experience has to be doing service learning activities at GMC, as it gave me a chance to see and learn the distinctiveness of this area and its culture.

Contributions to GMC:
I'm the president of the UNICEF Club, Director of Fund raising for Student Senate, Resident Assistant, and working to start a Model United Nations program in School.

Describe what you find most unique about GMC
The support of the faculty and staff! I think GMC is the only place in the world where if you want to do something they not only support you but they make it easier for you to do it. The support is great to a point that it motivates you to do more and more things.

What piece of advice can you give to prospective international students?
Be very open-minded, come with a lot of energy, and if you want to accomplish something work for it and talk to people and eventually you'll get it.
