Every Room Has a View
The changing Vermont seasons emphasize the classic beauty of our campus and six residence halls, including Ames Hall, rebuilt in 1908, with its distinctive bell tower and gabled windows. Over the past few years the college has renovated many lobbies, rooms and classrooms, in a campus-wide effort to refit facilities with sustainably produced carpet and furnishings.
The Tech Necessities
Every dorm room is equipped with high-speed internet access and access to our campus network; the library features wireless internet, plenty of computer labs, including a graphics and Mac lab, and a 24-hour lab. Other computer work stations are located around campus.
Award-Winning Dining Services
Morning omelets made with eggs from the on-campus farm, and seasonal feasts featuring food raised on the College farm, are bonuses of eating in the Withey Dining Hall. Also available are vegetarian and vegan selections, a salad and snack bar open all day, and drinks, ice cream, coffee and desserts served at every meal. And for an after-hours snack, the Buttery, with its large-screen T.V., is open in the evening.
Quiet, and Not-So Quiet Floors
Within our dorms, some students have formed theme floors to welcome students with similar interests. That means if you like a peaceful living environment, you can move onto the Quiet Floor; but if a hopping social scene is the thing for you, the rooms on the Adventure Recreation Floor are always overflowing with kayaks and climbing gear. Other theme floors include Creative Arts, Community, Substance Free and Honors.
