Previous | Next Kira Berglund Meet Some Of Our Transfer Students Major: Environmental Management Hometown: Maple Grove, MN Why I chose Green Mountain: I like that GMC is a small, environmentally focused, liberal arts college. Also I think it has a good program for Environmental Management, which at Green Mountain is a business-focused major with elements of environmental studies. What I like best about GMC: I like that all the classes are small, even the Intro classes, so that discussions are possible and frequent. Also, I think Green Mountain has many good professors that are interested in the success of students during and after college. Favorite part of the day: I'm a big fan of sunsets, and the view of the farm and river offers a good foreground for spectacular sunsets. Best thing about Vermont: Vermont is home to many smaller communities that do not subscribe to the layout of many modern suburbs where malls and chain stores abound. In Vermont, there is more of a focus on small, local, independent businesses. It is important to me that my education has an environmental focus. This way I may pass my knowledge on to others so that they may also understand and care about protecting the environment. |
