Meet Some Of Our Transfer Students
Major: Adventure Recreation
Hometown: Oberlin, Ohio
Why I chose Green Mountain: I chose Green Mountain because I was looking for a liberal arts college with a recreation degree. When I finally found GMC, I fell in love with the unique programs, the small and beautiful campus and all of the amazing opportunities that students' have- and I just knew that I had to come here.
What I like best about GMC: It's hard to say – there are so many things that I love! I certainly like to tell people that we have a farm since I think it's one of the greatest parts of campus, but I think that my favorite thing about GMC is the relaxed atmosphere. I love that there are always people hanging outside and that we're on a first name basis with all of our professors. You don't get that at most schools and I just think that it makes the whole college experience more enjoyable.
Favorite part of the day: I think that my favorite part of the day is right around dinner. It's always so much fun to hang out in the dining hall with a table full of your friends, laughing and sharing stories about the day. It's definitely a fun way to relax and catch up with some great people!
Best thing about Vermont: The mountains and small town charm! I come from the flat land of Ohio and nothing makes me happier than driving into to Vermont with the beautiful scenery and the opportunity to explore the all the unique nooks and crannies Vermont has to offer.
Favorite GMC moment: I honestly don't think that I can pick one favorite moment. I think about all of the times that I spent laughing with my friends, being amused by college events and being challenged in a number of classes, and I can't think of one moment that stands out above the rest. All of those moments come together to form my GMC experience, and I don't think that I can single one out. There isn't one that I would change and I am so thankful that I found a place that has made me so happy.
