Green Mountain College is conducting an ongoing national search to find students who have somehow made a significant contribution to a fellow human or to society. We want to reward this contribution and encourage the leaders of tomorrow with a full scholarship to Green Mountain -- a college that will foster their ideals and their desire to give back.
We are selecting our winners for the Fall 2007 Make A Difference scholarships. We are currently accepting nominations for Fall 2008.

Why does Green Mountain College care?
Green Mountain College is a small environmental liberal arts college that has been creating leaders for 170 years. Through a variety of programs, the College emphasizes commitment to the environment, to community, service learning and volunteerism. We are looking for the next generation of leaders who have shown the dedication, determination and sacrifice to help another person or their community. Our goal is to attract these students and help prepare them for productive, caring, and fulfilling lives in our rapidly changing world.
The Green Mountain College Make A Difference Scholarship will help these inspirational people realize the dream of a college education at no cost.
Send us your application & nomination
The college seeks nominations from students, guidance counselors, community members, parents, and family members. We are looking for people who have made a difference in the life of another person and/or their community and wish to continue their education.
Applicants must present a portfolio that illustrates how they have made an exceptional difference in their communities, in the life of an individual, or for some other reason. The portfolio must include an essay and at least three letters of recommendation, including one from a counselor, teacher, or principal and one from a community official.
